RE: WITHDRAWAL NOTIFICATION

Dear McCormick Customer:

McCormick has identified a quality problem involving McCormick Ground Cinnamon. An investigation has shown that part of a processing order was not milled according to McCormick standards. This is not a health hazard, but a quality issue, that does not meet McCormick standards. Therefore, we are conducting a voluntary product withdrawal.

The product subject to this withdrawal is:

McCORMICK ITEM NUMBER: 900438
AFFECTED DATE CODES: BEST BY MAR1011AH, BEST BY MAR1011BH, BEST BY MARCH1011CH, BEST BY MAR1111AH, BEST BY MAR1111BH, BEST BY MAR1111CH
QUANTITY: 350 CASES

The date codes listed above are the only ones subject to this withdrawal. The date code can be found printed on the bottom of the bottle. The date code is also printed on the one panel of the shipping case, on the opposite end from the SCC barcode. The total quantity above represents product shipped to customers from March 25, 2008 to April 9, 2008.

Please immediately notify your distribution centers and retail outlets and request that they examine their stock of remaining product for the affected codes. Complete the enclosed return/destruction form and fax or email the form to the contact provided at the bottom of the form. Credit for all defective product will be issued in the typical manner. Contact your McCormick sales representative for specific return instructions or questions. Quantities less than 8 cases may be destroyed at the distribution center or store, and quantities over 8 cases should be returned to McCormick.
