Please review the following message from Alan Talarsky, Environmental Scientist 1, Food and Drug Safety Program, DHSS regarding the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's and New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services' Class 1 expanded recall of various Quesos Mi Pueblito's cheese products.Quesos Mi Pueblito, LLC of Passaic, NJ is announcing a recall of the following cheese products with Sell by Date from February 2, 2009 to present:LA FE OAXACA STRING CHEESEEL VIEJITO OAXACA CHEESEMI PUEBLITO COTIJA/AñEJOMI PUEBLITO CUAJADA FRESCAMI PUEBLITO QUESO COLOMBIANO DE ARRIEROMI PUEBLITO QUESO MOLIDOMI PUEBLITO QUESO COTIJA TRIANGULOMI PUEBLITO QUESO FRESCOMI PUEBLITO QUESO FRESCO DE RANCHOMI PUEBLITO QUESO CASEROMI PUEBLITO QUESO OAXACAMI PUEBLITO REQUESONMI PUEBLITO SERRANOThe cheese products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
