Nature’s Harvest organic beef products are recalled

Notification of the organic beef recall comes from the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The three products on the recall list are Nature’s Harvest products and have the establishment number “EST. 18895: along with a Pack Date of “10341” and “10350.”

The three products recalled include:
· 16-oz packages of Nature’s Harvest Organic Ground Beef Brick sold singly with “Use” and “Freeze by” dates of 12/30/10 or 01/08/11
·
· 16-oz package of Organic Harvest Organic Ground Beef

Brick sold singly and in three-packs with “Use” and “Freeze by” dates of 12/28/10 and 01/06/11

· 16-oz packages of Nature’s Harvest Ground Patty with four 4-oz patties and “Use” or “Freeze by” dates of 12/30/10 and 01/08/11

Consumers can view the product labels online for help with identification.

All the products were shipped to retail establishments in six states: California, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Washington state. If you have this product remove it from the shelf, quarantine it so it can not be sold and contact your distributor for further instructions.
