STRONG AMERICA LTD ISSUES ALLERGE ALERT ON
UNDECLARED EGGS IN SUNNYSIDE BRAND PEANUT COOKIES

STRONG AMERICA LTD, 2-39 54th Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101, is recalling Sunnyside peanut cookies because they may contain undeclared eggs. Consumers who are allergic to eggs may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The recalled Sunnyside peanut cookies, 300g, product of Malaysia, are packaged in a plastic container with a code date of 28/10/2009. They were sold in New York State.

The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by food laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared eggs in Sunnyside peanut cookies in packages which did not declare eggs as an ingredient on the label.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
