To Our Valued Customers:

This is to advise that Campbell Soup Company is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of 18.8oz cans of Campbell’s Chunky Baked Potato with Cheddar and Bacon Bits which may contain pieces of hard plastic that present a choking hazard and may cause injury if swallowed. To date, three consumers have reported minor injuries in and around the mouth.

No other “Campbell’s” soup products are affected by this recall.

72,300 units of the recalled soups were shipped to customers in the following 24 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

The products to look for are the following:

You are directed to discontinue distribution, to remove the product from retail sales and hold for pick-up by our representatives.

If you have further distributed any of this product, please immediately contact your accounts, advise them of the recall situation, and have them return their outstanding recalled stocks to you. Return these stocks as indicated above.

Sales representatives will contact you within the next several days to confirm compliance with the request and to arrange for disposition or return of the recalled product.
