Lucy's Enterprises, Inc., a Kent, Wash., establishment, is recalling approximately 13,776 pounds of frozen, ground chicken products that may contain foreign materials, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today.The following products are subject to recall:* 16-ounce packages of "Trader Joe's, Chile Lime Chicken Burgers," with the date code "3158" embossed on the side of the box. Each package contains four chicken burgers.A photo of this product is attached above for your reference.Each label bears "P-8276" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were produced on Nov. 10, 2008, and were distributed to Trader Joe's supermarkets nationwide.The problem was discovered after the company received consumer complaints about finding pieces of plastic and bone material in the product. FSIS has not received any consumer complaints or reports of injury at this time. Anyone concerned about an injury from consumption of the products should contact a physician.Media with questions about the product should contact the Customer Relations Department at Lucy Enterprises at (253) 872-0783. Customers with questions about the product should call Trader Joe's at (626) 599-3817.No action is required of local health departments at this time for either of these recalls.
